Fatal accident in Danville caused by power line incident
A man tragically lost his life in Henderson, Ky., due to an incident involving fallen power lines following severe weather conditions on Wednesday night. Authorities from the Hendricks County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of injuries on County Road 75 north of County Road 200 in Danville at around 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officials found downed power lines hindering the roadway, alongside a pickup truck ablaze and an unresponsive individual nearby. Sadly, rescue teams were unable to revive the driver, identified as 27-year-old Nathan Merritt of Danville, after the power supply was disconnected. Deputies suspect the driver collided with the power lines while traveling northbound on County Road 75, leading to the fatal outcome.
