Fatal accident in Bertie County involving collision with two trees
A tragic incident occurred in Bertie County, North Carolina, where a 42-year-old man named Derrick Spruill from Merry Hill lost his life in a crash that took place on Ashland Church Road near Black Rock Road. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 8:55 p.m. when Spruill's 2003 Hyundai Sonata veered off the road, hitting two trees. Despite efforts, Spruill was pronounced dead at the scene, and it was reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
