Fatal accident during motorcycle race in northwest Las Vegas valley.
A tragic accident occurred in the northwest Las Vegas valley, leading to the death of a motorcyclist who crashed while racing another motorcyclist. The incident took place on June 8 around 9:30 p.m. near North Buffalo Drive and State Route 613. According to Nevada State Police, the motorcyclists were speeding and swerving through traffic when one rider, identified as Michael Charles Scardino, collided with a Honda Civic. Scardino, from Henderson, lost his life in the collision, while the Civic driver was unharmed. The crash is currently being investigated by authorities. As of now, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has looked into 30 fatal accidents with 31 fatalities in 2025.
