Fatal accident closes I-75 in Wesley Chapel
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently looking into a fatal accident on the northbound side of I-75 in Wesley Chapel involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck. The incident occurred near the exit to Overpass Rd and resulted in the death of the motorcycle rider, a 40-year-old Webster man. Traffic on the northbound lane is heavily congested, and vehicles are being rerouted at CR 54/SR 54 (Exit 279). Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until the interstate reopens. The duration of the closure for the crash investigation is currently unknown.
