Fatal accident closes I-35 in Purcell.
One person has died in a crash that caused the closure of I-35 on Sunday morning in McClain County. The McClain County Sheriff's deputies verified that a fatal semi-truck accident occurred near State Highway 74 around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, resulting in the closure of the northbound lanes of I-35. During the response to the crash, a deputy's vehicle was rear-ended in a separate incident. The deputy sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, with the official vehicle being severely damaged.
