Fatal accident between train and vehicle near Hutto results in one death
There was a fatal accident involving an Amtrak train and a vehicle in Williamson County. The collision occurred at SH 79 and County Road 110 between Hutto and Round Rock. The train, en route from San Antonio to Chicago, came into contact with a vehicle south of Taylor, Texas. Fortunately, the 71 passengers and crew onboard the train were reportedly unharmed. The incident is being investigated by local law enforcement agencies, including Union Pacific police and the Texas Department of Public Safety. The Hutto Police Department is also providing assistance at the scene.
