Fatal accident being investigated on Interstate 74 in Shelby County
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic accident that occurred on Wednesday night on Interstate 74 in Shelby County, Indiana. The incident took place on the westbound side of I-74 close to mile marker 106 before 9:30 p.m. At 9:42 p.m., all westbound lanes were shut down for clean-up and further investigation. The section of the highway affected by the crash is located between County Roads 400 and 675, roughly two miles west of Shelbyville. The exact number of casualties has not been disclosed by INDOT (Indiana Department of Transportation) at this time. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
