Fatal accident at McDonald's drive-thru in Nebraska
Authorities reported that a 69-year-old man from Grand Island, Nebraska tragically passed away after being trapped between his vehicle and a McDonald's building in the drive-thru lane. Emergency crews responded to the scene and discovered the man pinned between the side of the building and his car. The driver, identified as Michael Dickinson, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. It was described by Grand Island Police Division Chief Dean Elliott as a "freak accident," suggesting that the victim may have opened his car door to lean out for payment when he became stuck between the door frame and the drive-thru window counter. An employee who tried to help was also injured but is expected to recover. The incident is currently under investigation.
