Fatal 7-car collision during Sacramento police pursuit
A tragic incident occurred in Sacramento on Saturday morning when an innocent bystander was killed in a 7-vehicle crash resulting from a police pursuit. The chase began after the Sacramento Police Department responded to a domestic violence victim's request for assistance in retrieving her belongings. Despite the suspect fleeing from a previous domestic violence incident, officers located him near the victim's residence. They initiated a pursuit, which ended in a collision at the intersection of Florin Road and Greenhaven, claiming the life of a driver uninvolved in the initial incident. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was eventually apprehended and taken into custody.
