Family seeks help locating truck in fatal Bessemer Interstate crash

The relatives of a 24-year-old father who tragically lost his life in a collision on Interstate in Bessemer six months ago are looking for a transport truck they suspect was involved in the incident. Terence Bernard Summers Jr. was driving on Interstate 59/20 in the afternoon on March 18 when the crash occurred near the exit at Academy Drive and Alabama Adventure. According to the family, he struck a large industrial metal object on the road which caused his car to overturn multiple times. They believe the piece of machinery, resembling a sawmill blade, had fallen off a truck. Summers, unfortunately, could not avoid the collision and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The family, deeply affected by his passing, seeks anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward with any information they may have. Summers Sr., his grieving father, emphasized the devastation their family has endured, especially the impact on his three young children who are now without their caring father. The family has enlisted the help of legal counsel in pursuing justice for Terence's death. They appeal to those who may have any relevant information, particularly individuals working with large commercial blades, to provide assistance in solving the case. Anyone with information is urged to reach out to the Bessemer Police Department.
