Family says recent high school graduate injured in Massachusetts crash won't improve.
The family of a recent high school graduate shared the heartbreaking news that he has succumbed to injuries sustained in a tragic head-on collision in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Christopher Dailey, an 18-year-old graduate of Gloucester High School, was one of five individuals involved in the collision on Route 128 earlier this week. Dailey and three of his friends, also recent graduates of Gloucester High School, were in a car that collided with another vehicle on a bridge over the Annisquam River. The mayor of Gloucester, Greg Verga, confirmed that the driver of the other car, an 80-year-old man, was traveling in the wrong direction at the time of the crash. Dailey was airlifted to a Boston hospital in critical condition after the accident and is currently being kept on life support in preparation for organ donation, as shared in a message from his father on Facebook. Another 18-year-old male passenger's condition remains uncertain after being taken to the hospital. Two 19-year-old female passengers were also hospitalized, with one being discharged from Beverly Hospital later. The three other passengers have been identified by Gloucester High School as Lexi Carollo, Colby Jewell, and Bella Iacono. A gathering in solidarity with the victims was held at Our Lady of the Good Voyage on Tuesday.
