Family of 5 in Kremmling killed in tragic Highway 9 crash
A tragic car crash on Highway 9 south of Kremmling has taken the lives of an entire family, including three young children. The Grand County Coroner’s Office expressed their deepest sympathies to the surviving loved ones and community members affected by this devastating loss. The crash occurred early Monday morning when a Ford F-150 crossed into the opposite lane, colliding with a GMC Yukon and causing both vehicles to catch fire. Despite efforts from first responders, the family in the Yukon tragically did not survive. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford F-150, a 25-year-old man from Parker, sustained life-threatening injuries. The deceased family members have been identified, and the cause of the crash is currently being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol. The community is rallying together to support those affected, with the school district acknowledging the possibility that the family may have ties to the district. The authorities have urged any witnesses to the crash who have not yet come forward to contact CSP Dispatch with information.
