Family of 4 flying out of North Carolina killed in plane crash
UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA/WGHP) — The coroner has identified the four victims in a deadly plane crash in South Carolina. On Friday, April 17, a plane had crashed in a wooded area near the runway at the Union County Airport in South Carolina. According to the Union County Coroner's Office, four people were on board the plane. All four were killed in the crash. The victims were identified as 60-year-old James Moffatt, 61-year-old Leasa Moffatt, 30-year-old Andrew Moffatt, and 28-year-old William Moffatt. All four victims were members of the same family. All four victims were residents of Huntsville, Alabama. The victims were traveling from the Raleigh-Durham area to Alabama. The aircraft made a stop in Union County, South Carolina to refuel prior to the incident.
