Family mourns young couple lost in Aurora motorcycle accident
The families of a teenage couple tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in Aurora, Colorado, are grieving the loss of their deeply-in-love loved ones. Mariah Phillips, 17, and Sebastian Luevanos, 18, were on a motorcycle when the crash occurred on East Arapahoe Road. The speed of the motorcycle is under investigation as a possible factor in the accident, according to Aurora police. The driver of the other vehicle involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. Luevanos had recently graduated from Grandview High School, while Phillips was set to graduate in December and pursue studies at Arapahoe Community College to become a certified nursing assistant. Funeral arrangements are forthcoming, and their families have set up separate GoFundMe pages in their memory. Additionally, Phillips was known for her advocacy in dog rescue, and donations to "Hope for Paws Colorado" are suggested as another way to honor her memory.
