Family mourns woman after fatal hit-and-run crash in north Harris County
HOUSTON (KIAH) — A deadly hit-and-run crash near South Post Oak Boulevard over the weekend is under investigation. Deztiny Rodriguez, 18, was walking home with her boyfriend last Saturday when she was hit and killed along Evergreen Street, just 100 yards from her home. Deztiny’s family held a balloon release for her on Sunday. Meanwhile, Darius Dickerson is accused of driving the SUV and court documents say he drove off after hitting the teen. Dickerson is charged with collision involving death. He's due in court next Month.
