Experienced skydiver tragically killed in midair parachute collision
A tragic incident occurred at a Georgia airport over the weekend resulting in the death of an experienced skydiver, 48-year-old Jasmine Black. The incident involved a collision between Black's parachute and another jumper's gear as they were landing at Skydive-Atlanta. Despite attempting to deploy an emergency parachute, Black was unable to do so successfully due to the low altitude. Authorities responded to the scene and confirmed Black's passing on Saturday evening. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is now involved in the investigation alongside local law enforcement. Skydive-Atlanta expressed their condolences to Black's family and acknowledged the impact this loss has had on the entire skydiving community.
