Ex-Cowboys Cornerback Charged in Deadly Accident

A former Dallas Cowboys player, cornerback Kelvin Joseph, is facing serious legal issues following his alleged involvement in a lethal accident on U.S. Highway 75 in the Dallas area over the weekend. Joseph, a 2021 second-round draft pick, has been charged with driving while intoxicated and causing a collision resulting in death. Reports from Richardson (Texas) police stated that Joseph contacted emergency responders following the crash, where 27-year-old Cody Morris, a motorcyclist from Plano, lost his life. Police indicated signs of intoxication when interacting with Joseph at the scene. The football player was taken into custody and booked on charges of DWI and collision involving death. Joseph has not yet secured legal representation. Previously, he played for the Dallas Cowboys before joining other NFL teams and currently plays for the D.C. Defenders in the UFL. Joseph transferred from LSU to Kentucky in 2018, prior to LSU's triumphant 2019 season when they won the BCS National Championship.
