Evansville police respond to motor vehicle accident
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Police were dispatched to Red Bank Road in Evansville in reference to a motor vehicle accident on Sunday. When officers arrived, the suspect, Daniel Ferguson, stated he had been drinking, he was drunk and he had done this before. The suspect was driving southbound on South Red Bank Road approaching Hathaway Avenue, when he struck a tree on the west side of the road. According to a media report, Ferguson refused field sobriety tests. On a portable breath test, he blew a 0.163. He was taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital for jail clearance and a blood draw. He was then transported to VCCC. According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office website, Ferguson is being held in jail on no bond.
