Erratic driving in El Dorado Hills leads to fatal head-on collision

A fatal crash occurred in El Dorado Hills Friday morning, resulting in the death of an 84-year-old woman and major injuries to two children. The incident involved two vehicles and took place near Green Valley Road and Silva Valley Parkway around 7:55 a.m. according to California Highway Patrol reports. The woman who passed away was the sole occupant of her vehicle, while the other vehicle contained a woman and two young children under seven years old. Both the woman and the children sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. Witnesses reported to CHP that the woman with the children was driving recklessly. Further investigations are underway, including the possibility of substance testing through a warrant. The identity of the deceased woman has not been revealed yet.
