ER nurse injured in diving accident in Dominican Republic
A nurse from metro Atlanta, Katie Bullard, faced a tragic accident during her birthday trip to the Dominican Republic. While celebrating her 28th birthday, she suffered injuries while diving off a boat, breaking several vertebrae. Bullard was flown back to Atlanta for treatment and underwent surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital. Currently in the intensive care unit, she will soon begin her recovery at the Shepherd Center for rehabilitation.
