End of Shelter-in-Place in Buckingham Township After Hazmat Incident

Residents in Bucks County are currently required to stay inside their homes following a tanker truck overturning incident that caused hazmat concerns on Wednesday morning. The event occurred around 6 a.m. near the corner of Swamp Road and Lower Mountain Road in Buckingham Township. Authorities quickly implemented a temporary shelter-in-place directive for individuals living in the vicinity of Swamp Road and Creamery Road due to the hazardous materials incident. Thankfully, the shelter-in-place order was removed shortly after it was put in place. Swamp Road is currently shut down in both directions as first responders continue to manage the situation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and the cargo being transported by the truck is yet to be disclosed by the police.
