
Emergency at New Jersey airport as small plane crashes
A plane used for skydiving purposes crashed on Wednesday afternoon after overshooting a runway at an airport in New Jersey. According to officials, the incident took place as a Cessna 208B aircraft was departing Cross Keys Airport in Monroe Township around 5:30 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) indicated that the plane was carrying 15 individuals onboard at the time of the crash. Emergency services from Gloucester County were responding to the scene, referring to it as a significant incident with multiple casualties. At least five injured individuals were expected to be taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, according to a hospital spokesperson. The airport primarily caters to private passenger planes.
