Elk Grove authorities seek suspect in fatal Bruceville Road hit-and-run
Authorities in Elk Grove are currently seeking a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident on Saturday evening. The incident occurred on Bruceville Road near Laguna Boulevard when a pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing the street outside of a crosswalk. The vehicle, described as a dark colored SUV, was headed south on Bruceville Road at the time of the collision before fleeing west on Laguna Boulevard. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, died at the scene. The search for the suspect's vehicle prompted the closure of Southbound Bruceville Road to allow for an investigation. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
