Elderly woman dies in Hwy 52 wrong-way collision in Inver Grove Heights
An 80-year-old woman from Cottage Grove tragically lost her life in a collision on Highway 52 in Inver Grove Heights on Tuesday night, as reported by the Minnesota State Patrol. The incident took place near northbound Highway 52 and 80th Street. The woman, identified as Phillis Lucille Deboth, was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when she collided with a 2020 Chevy Silverado heading northbound. Deboth was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Chevy Silverado sustained non-life threatening injuries. Unfortunately, Deboth was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
