Elderly woman crashes SUV into Mira Mesa post office
A local post office in San Diego's Mira Mesa neighborhood was the site of a crash on Monday when a vehicle drove into its lobby. The San Diego Police Department was alerted to the incident just before 10:15 a.m. involving a white Toyota RAV4 driven by an 81-year-old woman. Emergency services were dispatched, and although some individuals inside the post office sustained minor injuries, one person was transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. The current condition of the driver is undisclosed. In response to the situation, the post office has temporarily shut down. Those needing postal services were advised to visit alternative locations at 9245 Twin Trails Drive or 11251 Rancho Carmel Drive.
