Elderly Rockford man dies in Riverside Blvd. accident on Sunday
In Rockford, Illinois, a 70-year-old man named Kevin Barbour tragically lost his life in a collision on Riverside Blvd. The Winnebago County Coroner's Office reported that the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Barbour was struck by a vehicle while attempting to turn left onto Pebble Creek Trail from Riverside. When emergency responders arrived, Barbour was found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the collision, and as of now, no charges have been filed.
