Elderly couple injured in car collision at Anne Arundel County medical building

Two individuals were injured when a car crashed into a medical office in Anne Arundel County on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by the fire department. An elderly man and woman were taken to Shock Trauma after the accident at the Maryland Primary Care Physicians' building in Glen Burnie. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, one person was trapped against the wall, while another was pinned under the car; fortunately, both are expected to recover. Emergency responders had to remove a cosmetic wall to rescue one of the victims. The driver, who did not show signs of impairment, remained at the scene. The incident caused quite a shock among witnesses, including nearby residents and employees. The medical office closed early on Wednesday and shifted Thursday appointments to telemedicine. Police have not filed charges at this time.
