E-bike rider severely hurt in Trumbull crash
A person riding an electric bike was seriously injured in a collision with another vehicle on Main Street (Route 111) near the intersection of Whitney Avenue in Trumbull. The incident took place on a Thursday evening. Trumbull police responded quickly, providing medical aid and securing the area. The injured e-bike rider was then taken to the hospital by Trumbull EMS for treatment. The Crash Reconstruction Unit from the Trumbull, Fairfield, and Westport Police Departments is investigating the crash, which caused significant damage to the vehicle involved. The severity of the injuries and exact cause of the incident are still under investigation. The affected area was closed for several hours following the crash, and police have not released any identities or pressed charges.
