Dyersville Crash Victims Identified
Authorities have identified the individuals involved in a motorcycle and car crash that occurred in Dyersville earlier this week. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office reported that emergency responders were called to the scene at 1402 9th Street Southeast around 9:45 pm on Wednesday. It was found that the car, driven by 36-year-old Jesse Drafahl from Oelwein, was heading north on 9th Street and attempted to turn left when it collided with the southbound motorcycle, driven by 67-year-old Michael Wieland from Alburnett. Wieland was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with severe injuries, while Drafahl sustained minor injuries.
