Two separate vehicle fires on I-15 in Davis County within a day have resulted in critical injuries for drivers. On Wednesday morning, a dump truck caught fire due to a multi-vehicle crash on northbound I-15 near West Bountiful, leading to the driver being hospitalized in critical condition. Gravel spillage from the truck forced lane closures in both directions, but the freeway was reopened after about an hour. Another incident occurred the day before in Centerville, where a car caught fire in a multi-vehicle crash, resulting in a man being critically injured and two others suffering minor injuries.
