DUI suspect accused of causing a fatal accident
On Sunday morning, a bond hearing was held for Robert Wasser, who faces DUI charges after causing an accident involving 63-year-old Robert Jeter on December 26. Sadly, Jeter passed away from his injuries on New Year's Eve, as confirmed by the coroner's office. Wasser was denied bond and his case was referred to the circuit court for a future bond hearing, expected to occur within the next month. According to the Greenville County Coroner's Office, Jeter was hit by a vehicle while he was working on another vehicle on the side of Old Piedmont Highway shortly before 8:30 p.m. This incident is still under investigation by the authorities.
