Driver unharmed in Knoxville freeway truck collision and blaze

Emergency crews in Knoxville, Tennessee swiftly reacted to a tractor-trailer incident on I-40 that caused a blaze and significant traffic delays on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred on I-40 E near N Campbell Station Road and Lovell Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. According to a representative from Rural Metro Fire, the tractor-trailer veered off course, igniting a fire in the nearby woods. Fortunately, the driver emerged unharmed as firefighters successfully contained the fire before it could spread further. One firefighter, however, had to be taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. There were no hazardous substances onboard the truck, and no other vehicles were affected.
