Driver ticketed following State Road 1 and Ridge collision
A semi-tractor tanker accident at the intersection of State Road 1 and Ridge Avenue in Greendale, Indiana, prompted responses from multiple agencies. The operator of the 2005 International Semi tractor transporting fertilizer in the overturned tanker trailer sustained minor injuries and received treatment at St. Elizabeth Dearborn. Michael Campbell, the driver from Greenfield, Ohio, reported that the tanker shifted and overturned while he was heading north on Ridge Avenue, crossing the Homestead Bridge at State Road 1 and Ridge. Campbell was cited for disregarding the traffic control device at the intersection which restricts semi tractor trailer traffic from turning right due to ongoing construction on the bridge. Northbound travel on State Road 1 was limited for about 4 1/2 hours, and the incident remains under investigation.
