Driver taken into custody for operating under the influence following car accident in Palmer
A driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after a car accident in Palmer, as reported by the Palmer Police Department. The incident occurred on Friday evening around 9:52 p.m. on West Ware Street near Palmer Motor Sports. The vehicle collided with a pole, veered into the woods, and came to rest on its side against a tree. Responding to the scene were units from the Palmer Police, Palmer Fire Department, Warren Police, Warren Fire, and Ware Police. Following an inquiry, the driver was arrested for operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Luckily, no injuries were sustained, and electricity service was duly restored in the vicinity.
