Driver strikes Kenosha building in deadly accident; makes plea agreement
A man from Pleasant Prairie who was involved in a fatal crash in Kenosha in July 2023 has agreed to a plea deal in his case. Ajay Pierangeli pleaded guilty on Monday to two charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, while two other charges were dismissed. Pierangeli is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11. The incident occurred at Play It Again Sports on 75th Street in Kenosha, resulting in two fatalities. Witnesses reported that Pierangeli, whose blood alcohol concentration was over three times the legal limit, lost control of his truck and crashed into the building. Pierangeli suffered severe injuries in the accident and was hospitalized. The legal proceedings are ongoing, with Pierangeli having been under police guard in the hospital following the incident.
