Driver sought for fatal Plano hit-and-run involving 18-wheeler
The Texas State troopers are currently investigating a deadly hit-and-run incident on the Dallas North Tollway that occurred early Tuesday morning. The tragic crash occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Spring Creek Parkway. Initial findings suggest that the driver of an 18-wheeler made an unsafe lane change, colliding with a Honda Civic, causing it to crash into a concrete wall and overturn. Subsequently, two other vehicles collided with the Civic. The driver of the Civic, identified as 47-year-old Juan Quiroz from Dallas, tragically passed away at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler fled the scene without stopping to assist. Thankfully, the occupants of the other two vehicles involved were unharmed. The Texas Department of Public Safety is actively searching for the driver of the 18-wheeler, treating the incident as a hit-and-run case.
