Driver sentenced to prison for fatal crash into Kenosha building in 2023
A man from Pleasant Prairie who was convicted in relation to a deadly crash in Kenosha from July 2023 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison and 30 years of extended supervision. As part of a plea deal, two counts of OWI causing injury were dismissed. The incident occurred at Play It Again Sports on 75th Street where a truck crashed into the building, resulting in two fatalities. The driver, Ajay Pierangeli, was found to have a blood alcohol concentration well above the legal limit. He suffered severe injuries in the crash. The defendant's arrest was delayed due to his hospitalization.
