Driver saved from Tioughnioga River after car accident
Emergency services were dispatched to a car accident on Route 11 near the Village of Marathon. Authorities reported that an SUV had veered off the road and ended up in the Tioughnioga River. The man inside the vehicle attempted to escape before help arrived. Responding teams, including the Marathon Fire Department and the Marathon Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps, worked together to assist in the water rescue operation. Fortunately, the driver did not require hospitalization after being evaluated by the ambulance crew on site.
