Driver pleads not guilty in crash that killed 4 Pepperdine students; hires high-profile lawyer.

Fraser Bohm, the driver accused of causing a fatal crash involving four Pepperdine University students on Pacific Coast Highway last October, has entered a plea of not guilty to charges related to the incident. Bohm, a resident of Malibu, appeared in a Los Angeles County courtroom with his new attorney, Alan Jackson, who is known for his involvement in high-profile legal cases. Jackson, who recently achieved a not-guilty verdict in a Massachusetts murder trial, will now be representing Bohm in this prominent murder case receiving national attention. The tragic crash occurred when Bohm allegedly struck the four students while driving at high speeds exceeding 100 mph. The victims, Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams, lost their lives in the accident. Since the incident, there have been calls from locals and officials for safety measures, including the installation of speed cameras, in the area where the crash happened. Bohm claims he was fleeing a road rage incident before the collision occurred. Jackson plans to challenge the prosecution's case and seek a reduction in Bohm's bail. The next court date for Bohm is set for September 5th. Additionally, Bohm may face civil lawsuits from the families of the victims. Jackson will also be involved in another high-profile case, representing Karen Read in a civil lawsuit following a wrongful death claim.
