Driver of pickup truck collides with Starbucks in hit-and-run
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported that early Sunday morning, a pickup truck driver crashed into a Starbucks in Rancho Cordova before fleeing the scene. Emergency crews responded to the incident at 2875 Zinfandel Drive, where they found the truck had caused structural damage to the building. The driver had left the scene before help arrived. Fire crews stayed to help remove water from the building and ensure the safety of the area. The Starbucks store will stay closed until approved by the Sacramento County Building and Health Department.
