Driver linked to DUI suspected in RV collision leading to death of 9-year-old in Los Angeles.

A tragic incident occurred in Koreatown on Thursday night when a young boy lost his life after being struck by an RV, with his brother also hospitalized. The driver of the RV, identified as Jimmy Pittman, has been arrested under suspicion of DUI. The accident took place at the intersection of South New Hampshire Avenue and 4th Street, where the siblings were riding an e-scooter. The younger brother, Nadir Gavarreta, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, while his elder brother is in stable condition at the hospital. Witnesses reported that the RV was speeding before the collision, raising concerns about the safety of RVs in the area. Authorities confirmed that Pittman underwent a breathalyzer test, leading to his DUI charges. In response to this tragedy, a GoFundMe page has been set up to support the family with funeral expenses and medical bills for the surviving brother.
