Driver killed in Sacramento County crash identified by coroner
A fatal collision involving two vehicles occurred in Rosemont on Monday night, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The victim, 28-year-old Rayanna L. Diaz, tragically lost her life in the accident. The crash took place around 6 p.m. at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard. Diaz was driving an Infiniti sedan with two passengers, heading towards Watt Avenue when the collision with a Lexus sedan, being driven by a man traveling alone, occurred. It has not been determined which vehicle ran the red light. Unfortunately, Diaz passed away at the hospital due to her injuries, while her passengers sustained moderate to minor injuries. The driver of the Lexus was unharmed. The possibility of DUI involvement in the crash is being investigated by the CHP, and seatbelt usage by the involved parties has not been confirmed.
