Driver killed in Des Moines crash with utility pole identified
The driver who died in a fatal crash after his vehicle struck a utility pole in Des Moines on Thursday has been identified by the police as Jerome Cook, a 60-year-old resident of Des Moines. Cook was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Bloomfield Road when his car veered off the road at a high speed. Emergency responders discovered Cook's body at the scene of the accident. Fortunately, no other individuals were injured or killed in the incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the crash.
