Driver injured when car falls 20 feet beneath Illinois Route 6
In Peoria, Illinois, a woman was hospitalized on Thursday night after her car veered off the road and crashed into a wall on Illinois Route 6. Emergency responders from the Peoria Fire Department located the vehicle, which had traveled over a stream and hit a concrete wall. Battalion Chief Josh Martin stated that firefighters safely extracted the driver from the car and transported her to OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center. The current condition of the patient is undisclosed.
