Driver injured in solo vehicle accident on I-291 overpass
A driver was hospitalized following a single-car accident on the flyover from I-91 to I-291 in Springfield on Wednesday morning. State troopers responded to the crash at around 9:00 a.m., and the driver was transported to a nearby hospital by EMS personnel. The driver's current condition remains undisclosed, while an inquiry into the incident is underway by the State Police Detective Unit and the Collision and Accident Reconstruction Section from the District Attorney's Office.
