Driver injured as car collides with house in southwest Atlanta
A driver was hospitalized after colliding their vehicle with a house in southwest Atlanta early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on Lisa Drive, near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. According to police, the car veered off-road, hitting the home's carport and another vehicle in the process. Efforts are underway to safely remove the car without causing further damage to the carport structure. Luckily, there were no occupants in the residence at the time of the accident. Emergency responders swiftly transported the driver to the hospital for treatment, with officials reporting non-life-threatening injuries. Homeowner Valdis Brown shared his experience of being alerted about the crash. The driver's identity has not been disclosed, and investigators are determining the cause of the collision.
