Driver in fatal Mesquite DWI crash described as 'nonchalant,' affidavit states
A man was arrested for causing a fatal three-vehicle crash that resulted in the deaths of two people on U.S. Highway 80 in Mesquite this past week. The man failed a field sobriety test and displayed a lack of concern for the victims, as indicated by police reports. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening between Gallaway Avenue and Belt Line Road. The victims were identified as Mark Bryant and Brian Robinson. The Audi SUV driver, Kevin Jackson, was arrested for two counts of intoxication manslaughter after witnesses reported his vehicle was speeding and driving erratically prior to the collision. Jackson showed signs of intoxication and denied responsibility for the crash during questioning. Blood tests were conducted following his arrest, but the results have not been disclosed.
