Driver in deadly Turnpike crash held without bail
The semi-truck driver accused of causing a fatal crash on Florida's Turnpike is now being held without bond in St. Lucie County Jail after being brought back to Florida from California. Harjinder Singh, who is facing three counts of vehicular manslaughter, allegedly made an illegal U-turn on the Turnpike in Fort Pierce on August 12, resulting in a tragic collision that claimed the lives of three individuals. The St. Lucie County Sheriff expressed disappointment over Singh's lack of remorse and failure to offer aid after the crash. There are concerns about Singh's past actions and his ties to White Hawk Carriers Inc., the trucking company involved in the incident. He will remain in custody until his first court appearance scheduled for Saturday morning.
