
Driver in deadly Hidalgo collision faces charges for driving under the influence
A man involved in a tragic morning accident in Hidalgo is facing serious charges related to intoxication, as announced by Hidalgo Police Chief Romeo Rodriguez. Eguaciso Luna Jr., 40, has been accused of causing the crash that resulted in one person's death and multiple injuries. The incident took place at the intersection of Dicker Road and McColl Road. Luna is charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault for his actions leading to the collision. Chief Rodriguez highlighted Luna's reckless behavior, emphasizing the importance of safe driving and the severe consequences of driving under the influence. Luna has been given a bond of $350,000 and is currently in custody while the investigation into the crash continues. The Police Department urges anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in the case.
