The incident occurred at 8:19 p.m. on Southeast Stark Street, and both police and Portland Fire and Rescue were on the scene. The injured driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance, with the severity of their condition uncertain but believed to be life-threatening, according to a press release from the Portland Police Bureau.
